Sometimes I wish I get paid for shooting what I want. Well, that wish most of the time gets granted. But then it becomes a job. Your want becomes their need and you become restricted. You become restricted because you are obliged to produce at a certain time for a certain image that conform to requirements for a certain amount, be it money or kind. It is quite a jump from creating a photo for the sake of just because it is there. You take that shot because it is there and you are attracted to it, even if you don’t get paid doing it, and nobody can force you whatever vision you must have, nor can they oblige you to share it with them. When you shoot with this frame of mind, it is your picture, not theirs. It is your creation. And that is bliss.
