Solitude, the Rule of Thirds and the Diagonal Method

Maybe it is no accident that the theme of Solitude is juxtaposed with the Rule of Thirds.

Solitude is a state of being alone, of isolation. Rule of  Thirds is isolating your subject to a more pleasing location within the frame.

But I like to introduce the Diagonal Method, wherein “Artists” intuitively place points of interest along the diagonal lines of photo frames.

It is not about the “rule of thirds” , it is about finding details which are important to the artist in a psychological or emotional way- the thing you have when in Solitude.
